This Privacy Policy explains how Simply Matched, a service operated by LeadExperts ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and shares information when you visit this website or request a quote, estimate or inspection through it. We match homeowners with independent, local home improvement companies (each a "Contractor"). By using this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you answer our questions or submit a request, we may collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and property address or ZIP code;
- details about your home and project, such as whether you own the home, the work you need and your timeframe;
- anything else you choose to tell us.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the ad or link that brought you here, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies, including advertising tools from Meta (Facebook) and Google.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your request and connect you with the Contractor.
- To contact you by phone, text message or email about your request, as described in section 4.
- To confirm your project is within the Contractor's service area and is something they can help with.
- To measure and improve our advertising and this website.
- To prevent fraud, keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations.
3. How we share your information
- With the Contractor. We share the information you submit with the Contractor so they can contact you, inspect your property and provide an estimate. The Contractor uses your information under its own privacy practices.
- With service providers. We use companies that host this website, store data, send messages and run analytics and advertising for us. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- With advertising partners. Cookies and pixels on this site share information about your visit with platforms such as Meta and Google so we can measure our ads and show relevant ads to you and people like you.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
Under some state privacy laws, sharing information with the Contractor or with advertising partners may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time (see section 7).
4. Calls, text messages and email
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, we and the Contractor may call or text you about your request at that number. This can include calls and texts sent using automated technology or prerecorded messages. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop contacting you by emailing the address below.
5. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended. You can manage interest-based ads through your Facebook and Google ad settings and at optout.aboutads.info. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information where required by law.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to handle your request, maintain our business records and meet our legal obligations, and then delete it or make it anonymous. The Contractor keeps the information we share with them under its own retention practices.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and of targeted advertising;
- appeal if we decline your request.
To use any of these rights, email us at hello@leadexperts.co.za with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This website is meant for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. If you use the website after a change, the updated policy applies.
